Committees

Our Chapter Committees are administrative bodies that help us handle the important business of the entire Chapter. This includes work like managing and creating content for social media, administering our website and other chapter tech, helping us grow and develop our membership, among other duties.

Growth & Development Committee

GDC helps us recruit new members, engage existing members, develop new organizers, perform public outreach, organize new branches, and improve connections between members.

Communications Committee

The Comms Committee is responsible for managing our public messaging, social media, short-form content, creating graphics and flyers, and other media content.

Tech Committee

The Tech Committee manages our Chapter’s tech assets including our website and web hosting, and other tech tools that are available to us like Action Network, Solidarity Tech, among others.

QUILT (Queers United in Liberating Tennessee)

A member-run cadre within Middle Tennessee DSA which organizes working-class, poor, and unorganized queer and trans people in Tennessee to build community power and fight systemic repression.

Political Education Committee

For our theory-heads. This committee will be responsible for developing internal trainings and materials, organizing reading groups, and other political education that better develops our socialist consciousness in the chapter.

Electoral Committee

This is our Chapter-level body that develops and maintains our electoral infrastructure, coordinates chapter electoral organizing, processes candidate endorsement requests, and manage relationships with chapter electeds through SIO (Socialist in Office) Sub-Committees.
